Gujarat Assembly Election Result 2022: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is currently working as the ruling party in Gujarat. There is just one day left in voting for the Result of the Gujarat Election 2022. Here in this post, we are going to tell you all about Gujarat Election 2022.

The counting of votes will begin at 8 am on Thursday. Initial trends will be available soon after the counting beings. However, a clear picture will start taking shape at 10 am onwards. The counting of votes will take place at 37 counting centres covering the 182 Assembly seats.

After Brian Sullivan’s brother-in-law suffered a stroke that significantly impaired his speech, Brian set out to create an iOS app that could help him communicate. As a technology professional, Brian had some programming experience, but he knew that designing a tool for people with aphasia would require more sophisticated skills.

When he discovered that a full-semester course at Harvard Extension School cost about the same as many three-day workshops, and that he could study with David J. Malan—a big name in the world of computer science—he enrolled in Malan’s mobile application development course.

It was definitely intimidating to go back to school in my 40s,” he says, “but I loved it. Professor Malan made the course so engaging and understandable.”

The experience of building the skills he needed to develop his app, as well as of connecting with fellow students, was so inspiring that Brian enrolled in two additional courses. He then applied to the Digital Media Design Graduate Program.

“The best part of the program was having to push myself really hard,” Brian says. “I struggled at times but always managed to successfully come out the other side. Mastering a new technology is a tremendous feeling.”

As Brian’s confidence as a student grew, his career outlook changed. He’s now an active proponent of connected learning, which leverages digital media and networks to enable students around the world to learn through shared interests and supportive virtual communities.

As director of technology at a charter school, he enjoys implementing new educational technologies and teaching Python to the next generation of software engineers.

Looking ahead, Brian hopes to bring his knowledge to a school outside of the United States. “I am excited to take what I’ve learned,” he says, “and help schools that are poorly served and underfunded realize the amazing potential of connected learning, without busting their budgets.”

And the app for his brother-in-law? For his capstone project, Brian developed Mano Žodis!, which means “My Word!” in Lithuanian, his brother-in-law’s native language. The app enables users to select from a bank of words, symbols, and images to easily express thoughts, needs, and emotions.

“Building the app, and the many hours I spent gaining the skills I needed to do so,” Brian says, “was most definitely a labor of love.”

“Catherine Snow’s work ranges from detailing the contexts and processes by which children do — or don’t — acquire the register of academic language, to recent interventions that demonstrate how students develop the language and knowledge of academic disciplines,” said P. David Pearson of the University of California-Berkeley, upon bestowing Snow the 2011 American Education Research Association’s Distinguished Contributions to Research in Education Award. “She has provided a compelling example of how to bridge the theory-practice gap in ways that inform both sides of the divide.”

As American educators grappled with how to teach English as a second language, Snow undertook important research to gain a better understanding of second language development and the role of the home in influencing a child’s English and Spanish vocabulary. Her understanding of the value of bilingualism was a message that resonated with audiences beyond educators as her research would inform language policy issues in the United States and developing nations, and testing policies. In 2002, she presented research on English as a second language on C-Span.

Much of Snow’s research has focused on early literacy and bilingualism, but she shifted her attention in the past 15 years toward adolescent reading, coauthoring a seminal report, Reading Next: A Vision for Action and Research in Middle and High School Literacy, that garnered significant attention. “Educators must . . . figure out how to ensure that every student gets beyond the basic literacy skills of the early elementary grades, to the more challenging and more rewarding literacy of the middle and secondary school years,” she wrote, noting the great importance of teaching comprehension.

Snow also plays an important role in creating the tools to improve middle school-aged literacy outcomes. For example, in her Word Generation project, which addresses concerns about vocabulary development in sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders, Snow collaborated with the Boston Public Schools and the Strategic Education Research Partnership (SERP) to establish curricular tools that enhance literacy and teaching. The curriculum has since informed efforts in other cities, playing a role in New York City’s Middle School Quality Initiative, for example. In its creation, Snow worked directly with teachers to brainstorm topics and pilot early efforts of Word Generation, which launched in 2015 and has since developed more elaborate, helpful guides and supplementary materials, continuing to grow in popularity.

The Election Commission of the State has made it clear that the result of this election is going to be released on December 8, 2022. The counting of these votes will be done by different reporting officers who have been assigned their duties respectively.
